Grand Lido Braco Visitors
...doing community work at Rio Bueno Schools

Hello my name is Martha Hight Anderson, and I am a frequent visitor to Jamaica. Over the past 5 years I have been traveling to Grand Lido Braco, near Rio Bueno and I have a web site called The Grand Lido Visitors Hangout. (link: VisitorsHangout)

Since 2001, members of my web site have embarked on numerous improvement projects for the Rio Bueno All-Age and Basic schools;
1)

raised money, bought, shipped, constructed and installed 100 new school desks and chairs for the Rio Bueno All-Age School

2)

raised money, bought and installed celing fans for all the classrooms at the Rio Bueno All-Age School

3)

received donations of 6 Pentium PCs (from a web site member in Washington, D.C.), had them shipped to Jamaica, installed current operating systems and purched educational software for the Rio Bueno All-Age School

4)

provided (and still continue to do so with an ongoing web drive) over 100 pairs of school shoes for the children of the Rio Bueno Basic and All-Age Schools

5)

provided (and still continue to do so with an ongoing web drive) school supplies for the children of the Rio Bueno All-Age, Basic and the Duncans All-Age Schools

You may view the specific web page at my site for these projects at: (link: Projects)

We have some projects scheduled for the fall of 2004 which include bookbags and school supplies for every child in the Rio Bueno All-Age School, plus playground equipment for the Rio Bueno Basic School.

We would invite you to check out the web pages and the photos and ask to keep us in mind as you spread the word on your on-line newspaper about people that want to help the children of Trelawny.

Sincerely,
Martha Hight Anderson, founder
