The training sessions were conducted by Mr. Jermane Stewart a final year Electronics & Computer Systems student of the
Brown's Town Community College and myself, Deirdre Wilson-Tyndale of "The Computer Place" business establishment in
Falmouth.
The training covered a general Introduction to Computers and Microsoft Word. Participants were given handouts and
assignments and seemed to grasp the material that was presented during the training sessions. At the end of the course,
the teachers expressed their sincere appreciation to the HAT Organization and its local volunteers (Jermane and Myself)
and stated that this course would definitely help them to be more effective teachers.
Earlier this year, the Basic Schools were presented with computers and educational software by the HAT organization.
