The Lion Heart is roaring

"Boxer"
(Dragon Gym - Montego Bay, Jamaica and Peacock Gym, England)

He was born in Falmouth, his parents named him Bruce Scott, he lived on Newton Street, and he speaks with a lisp. This likeable lad is a living example of success through hard graft and good common sense. He started his boxing career at the Dragon Gym in Montego Bay when he was still in his teen. He was so eager to train but the bus fare was very tight at times. At the time Falmouth born Hero Scott was training with Seba in Montego Bay and usually travelled with Mr. Chin who was the owner of the pot factory near knibb. I once over heard Bruce asking Hero if he could tell Mr. Chin that they are brothers so as to cement his seat even in the absence of his dear "brother". It was sometime in 1992 I was home watching TV and switching from channel to channel and suddenly I was on eurosports channel and I saw this boxing match going on. I recognised Bruce and I quickly reached for an empty videocassette to catch this wonderful moment. He is famous, he is powerful, he is good boxer, he has a lion heart, and his posters are all over London.

Just before I left Jamaica he said, "Cloggyseba, we are going to meet in Foreign". We met two years after that in London.

Bruce Scott - "Boxer"

He once said three years ago, ' if I don't win this match I am going to kill myself". I saw him the last time after that infamous interview in London in November 2001 and he was still alive so I figure he loves life to the max.

His trainer is Frank Black.
