This son of Falmouth parents is a unique player that we can only talk about now because we will never find a player like that in Trelawny again. In Cruyff, Edson had a forward player that any team in Jamaica would be proud to have on their books. Goal scoring to Cruyff is like ABC and his style of playing also is one, which creates goal for others to capitalise on. He controls the forward line with confidence and has chuchillian type of composure. Studs and Village have been on several spying missions checking this classy player out.

This wily winger come once in a while and must be admirer. File's forte can be described quite bluntly: embarrassing defenders. On many occasions an eager fullback has been soundly laid to rest as firstly File shows him the ball and moment later he is displaying a clean pair of heels. Another of File's party-piece occurs when he is involved in one-to-one situations. That is when exhilarating speed of thought and feet come to the fore. The way File plays it is more likely that teammates will benefit from attacking raids down the wing.

File is the placid and almost unapologetic entertainer who doesn't shies away from the publicity and glamour of the world's famous sport. His popularity with the fans stems from this ice-cool approach. Rest in Peace.

Cassman Williams - "Jazbo"

Haven't the supporters of little village football club been lucky? Which other football league club can boast the unearthing of one such fine winger as one-time village's Cassman "Jazbo" Williams.

Most of Jazbo's goals are powerhouse that the main strikers fail to do. Jazbo is definitely not the sort of forward to get you 20 goals a season. And with the introduction of more and more defensive duties for forwards their chances of scoring are greatly reduced. He also played his football in Austria. The diminutive wide man was born Cassman Michael Williams in Falmouth and he has proved to be a fine ambassador for the Falmouthians.

Charles Grant: (Lion Youth, Edson, Village, Volvo. and Violet Kickers). -

Charles "Whitey Pele", "Hurricane" Grant, Violet Kickers left back style of play is one of no-nonsense tackling and first-class distribution. Grant can truly be described as one of that unlucky breed of footballers. The Falmouth born player was once on the staff of village F.C., a club whose name and tradition are famous. But unfortunately for Grant he joined the Falmouth club when they were in their heady years of success. The team was full of household names and gaining a first team spot was so difficult for the elegant fullback that he had no choice but to move on. Though born at Compound, Grant was raised in the neighbouring area of Race Course. And those two areas can feel proud of a man who has proved to be a fine ambassador. Countless Kickers goals have had grant as the creator with devastating through-ball. Many flying winger has been halted in his tracks by a crunching Grant's tackle.

Indeed many forwards have listed the kickers' defender as a hard, but worthy opponent.

His contribution to the game was rewarded with a fourth place in the National Premier League in 1986. Commenting on his achievement he said, "Fourth place is not good for a calibre footballer like me, "Hurricane Charles".
